Motorola Moto G47 Power launches in Europe with 7,000mAh battery
Motorola's new European Moto G47 Power adds a 7,000mAh battery and 30W charging, but it is heavier and otherwise close to the standard G47.
Motorola has officially launched the Moto G47 Power in Europe, adding a much larger battery and faster charging to the company's existing G47 family. The phone keeps most of the standard model's hardware while increasing capacity from 5,200mAh to 7,000mAh.12
A bigger battery, with more weight
The headline change is the battery. Motorola says the G47 Power can last for up to 78 hours on a single charge, while charging rises from 20W on the regular Moto G47 to 30W. The phone also supports 6W wired reverse charging, allowing it to top up another device in an emergency.1
That extra capacity comes with a physical trade-off. The G47 Power measures 166.23 by 76.5 by 8.89mm and weighs 215g. The regular G47 is 7.9mm thick and weighs 191g, making the Power model 24g heavier as well as almost a millimetre thicker.1
The rest is familiar
The phone uses a 6.67-inch LCD with a 720 by 1604 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,050 nits in high-brightness mode. A MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with a microSD slot available for expansion.1
Photography is handled by a 108MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera and an 8MP selfie camera. Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, IP64 dust and splash resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.1
The phone ships with Android 16, despite Android 17 already being available. Motorola lists the Moto G47 Power in Pantone Capri, Pantone Nautical Blue and Pantone Impenetrable. The Capri finish replaces the regular G47's Fuchsia Red.1
European price and availability
The Moto G47 Power costs €339 in the European Union and £299 in the United Kingdom. Motorola's regional product page confirms the model and its availability, while GSMArena reports the launch specifications and pricing.12
This is a straightforward battery-focused variant rather than a full-generation upgrade. Motorola has kept the display, chipset and camera arrangement close to the regular G47, putting the extra money and weight towards endurance instead of a more ambitious performance package.
Our opinion
The Moto G47 Power makes sense for people who value charging less often than they value a light phone, but the compromises are unusually visible. A 7,000mAh battery is useful, especially with reverse charging, yet 4GB of RAM and a 720p-class display limit how premium the device feels at £299. The model's appeal will depend on whether Motorola's claimed endurance survives real-world use; on paper, it is a targeted battery upgrade rather than an across-the-board improvement.
