vivo X500 Pro and Pro Max European prices reportedly leak
A new report puts the vivo X500 Pro at €1,399 and the X500 Pro Max at €1,799 in Europe, but vivo has not confirmed the figures.
vivo’s X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max are reportedly heading to Europe with prices that would put both phones firmly in flagship territory, although the figures remain unconfirmed. GSMArena reports that the X500 Pro may cost €1,399 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the X500 Pro Max may start at €1,799 with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.1
The report also says the X500 Pro Max Photographer Kit could reach €1,999. The two phones are expected to come in different colour options, with Moonlit Black and Sunny White mentioned for the Pro, and Moonlit Black and Starry Gray for the Pro Max.1 vivo has confirmed that the European launch event is scheduled for October 27, but the company has not yet confirmed these European prices.1
The leaked figures would make the X500 Pro Max one of the more expensive mainstream Android flagships in Europe. They would also place it close to Oppo’s reported Find X10 Pro Max pricing, according to GSMArena’s comparison, while still undercutting the reported €1,849 starting price of Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Max with 512GB of storage.1 Those comparisons are useful for context, but they are not official confirmation of any European retail price.
The X500 Pro Max itself is already listed on vivo’s Chinese product site. The vendor’s page describes a phone with a 6.85-inch AMOLED display, a Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, an 8,000mAh battery and a three-camera system that includes a 200-megapixel Zeiss APO telephoto camera.2 Chinese pricing and specifications do not necessarily translate directly to European configurations, taxes or launch bundles, so the European leak should be treated as a provisional guide rather than a final specification sheet.
Our opinion
The interesting part of this leak is not simply that the phones may be expensive. It is that vivo appears to be positioning the Pro Max as a camera-led rival to the most premium phones from Apple and Oppo, while the reported European configuration starts with substantial storage rather than a token base model. That could make the price easier to understand — but only if the camera system, software support and regional warranty match the ambition.
For now, the sensible conclusion is “watch this space”. The October 27 European event should settle whether the X500 Pro reaches the region at all, whether the Pro Max Photographer Kit is offered locally and how closely the final prices match this report. Until vivo announces those details, the numbers are a leak, not a shopping recommendation.
