Lava Aura Curve arrives with rear display and 6,000mAh battery
Lava's Aura Curve brings a curved 120Hz AMOLED screen, a secondary rear display and a 6,000mAh battery to India's offline market.
Lava has introduced the Aura Curve, a new Android smartphone aimed at India's offline retail market. It carries the same broad design language as the recently unveiled Virat Curve, including a curved display and a secondary screen on the rear, but is positioned as a separate Aura-branded model.12
The phone is listed at INR 23,999 for the 6GB/128GB version. Lava says it will be sold through offline retailers in India, making local availability a central part of the launch rather than a promise of immediate international distribution.12
A curved screen and rear display
The Aura Curve uses a 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The official specification page lists a 2,400 by 1,080 resolution, 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage and peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits.1
Its rear panel includes a secondary AMOLED display. Lava positions that screen as a way to show custom messages, the time, battery information and notifications, while also supporting the phone's visual identity. The phone comes in Him Silver and Ambar Blue finishes, with the official product imagery showing both.1
Dimensity 7100 and a large battery
The Aura Curve is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7100 processor and includes 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs clean Android 16, according to Lava, and supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.4 and an in-display fingerprint scanner.1
The camera setup combines a 50MP Sony IMX752 rear sensor with a 13MP front camera. Other listed features include stereo speakers, an IP64 rating and a 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast-charging support. Lava's own page says the phone includes a 33W charger in the box, so the headline charging figure and the bundled adapter should not be confused.1
Our opinion
The Aura Curve is most interesting for its rear display, not because a 120Hz AMOLED panel or a large battery is unusual in this price bracket. The secondary screen gives Lava a recognisable hook, although its practical value will depend on how much control users get over notifications and custom content. The offline-only positioning also means UK readers should treat this as a product announcement rather than a buying recommendation: Lava has not announced UK availability in the supplied sources.12
