Lenovo ThinkVision M16 adds a portable 16-inch workspace

Lenovo’s ThinkVision M16 adds a 16-inch USB-C display for portable work, but its modest colour coverage makes it a productivity screen rather than a creative monitor.

Lenovo’s ThinkVision M16 is a portable 16-inch monitor designed to add a second screen to a laptop without turning a bag into a desktop setup. The company lists a 16-inch WUXGA IPS panel, a 16:10 aspect ratio and two USB-C ports, while Notebookcheck reports that the display is currently available in Europe for about €219. 12

What Lenovo is offering

The ThinkVision M16 uses a 1,920 × 1,200 matte panel with quoted brightness of 300 nits. Lenovo’s own product page lists a 980g weight and a 7mm thickness without the stand, making portability the central pitch rather than high-end colour work. The stand supports landscape and portrait positioning, with tilt adjustment from 0 to 90 degrees and up to 10mm of height adjustment. 1

Power and video run through USB-C, and Lenovo says the monitor supports up to 65W power delivery with pass-through charging. That should make it a tidy companion for compatible laptops and phones: one display can provide extra workspace while the connected device remains charged. The package includes the monitor with its stand, a USB-C cable, a sleeve and a quick setup guide. 1

Notebookcheck’s report puts the panel’s practical limits in sharper focus. It describes the brightness as just under 300 nits and says the screen covers roughly 70% of the sRGB space, with noticeable colour deviations. That makes the M16 more useful for documents, browser tabs, presentations and general productivity than for serious photo editing. 2

Availability and the trade-off

The Lenovo product page lists the ThinkVision M16 under part number 64BFUAR1WW, while the Notebookcheck report found it selling for €219 in Germany. Regional pricing and availability will vary, so that figure should be treated as a current example rather than a universal launch price. 12

Our opinion

The ThinkVision M16 makes sense as a practical second screen, especially for people who regularly work from cafés, hotel rooms or shared desks. Its useful combination is the integrated stand, USB-C connectivity and compact 16:10 panel, not cinematic image quality. Lenovo is being most convincing when it sells the M16 as a portable productivity tool; it is a weaker proposition for colour-critical creative work, where the limited gamut matters more than the extra inches.
