IFA 2026: Everthine’s AI waifu wants to watch your eyes, read your mood and play games with you

Everthine is showing an AI companion at IFA 2026 that wants to be more than a chatbot with an anime skin. The EverThine AI Companion combines a 3D on-screen character with emotion-aware reactions, eye tracking, games and appearance customisation, creating a digital presence designed to feel more like a persistent companion than a conventional assistant.

The physical device uses a tall vertical display to present its animated character. Everthine says users can customise the companion’s appearance, including its clothing, giving the character a more personal identity instead of locking everyone into the same presentation.

An AI companion that watches and reacts

At its IFA demonstration, Everthine presented the companion reacting to the user’s apparent emotional state and using eye tracking to understand where attention is directed. The aim is to make interaction feel less like issuing commands and more like sharing a space with a character that notices when it is being addressed.

Everthine also says the companion can play games with its user. The company has not publicly detailed the full game library or how much control the AI has during play, but the feature points towards a broader idea: an AI companion that is intended to spend time with its owner rather than simply answer questions.

Everthine’s IFA product material gives the device a more defined identity than the company’s online “AI soulmate” language initially suggests. The companion uses an immersive 3D avatar on a curved OLED display, with touch responses intended to make interactions feel more immediate. Everthine also says the character can remember a user’s stories and evolve over time, while sensing their presence, mood and surrounding environment.

Memory, privacy and customisation

The same material places emphasis on privacy, listing biometric locking, local data and a physical microphone and camera shutter among the device’s features. Those controls will matter if Everthine’s “always-on” companion is genuinely expected to live in the home rather than simply sit on a desk waiting for commands.

Everthine’s website describes the product as an “always-on 3D AI soulmate” capable of remembering conversations and shared moments. Its privacy policy discusses messages, photos, videos, voice recordings, transcripts, interests, location features and person-detection information across its apps and smart devices.

The policy says some camera content can remain stored locally and describes optional offline voice functionality. However, Everthine has not yet provided enough technical detail to establish exactly which features run locally, what may be sent to remote servers, how long information is retained or how users can permanently delete stored memories.

Price and availability

Everthine currently lists the AI Companion at US$800, reduced from a stated US$1,000 price, alongside a US$9.99 VIP Service whose benefits are not clearly explained. The product page currently labels the listing as a “test product, not for sale”, while the homepage says the companion is coming soon. A confirmed launch date and final specifications have not been announced.

Our opinion

Everthine is more interesting than another chatbot wearing an anime skin. Eye tracking, emotional reactions, shared games and clothing customisation could make the companion feel like a character rather than a talking search box.

But the more human Everthine wants its companion to feel, the more important its privacy controls become. A device that observes attention, interprets mood and remembers personal conversations cannot hide behind vague promises about being “always there”. The concept is intriguing, but the US$800 price and unfinished product listing make this one to watch rather than buy. Everthine needs to explain its hardware, AI model, data handling and subscription costs before its digital soulmate earns a place in the living room.
