IFA 2026: UGREEN reveals HomeAgent hubs for local AI and private smart homes

UGREEN is turning the smart-home hub into something closer to a private AI server. At IFA 2026, the company showed a trio of devices designed to process voice commands, camera feeds and home automation locally rather than sending everything to the cloud.

The range consists of the HomeAgent HA100, HomeAgent HA100 Pro and MasterAgent MA100. All three pair Matter-compatible smart-home control with a two-bay SATA NAS and space for a dedicated video-storage drive, according to Android Authority.

A local brain for the smart home

The HomeAgent HA100 is listed with 16GB of RAM and a claimed 26 TOPS of AI performance. The HA100 Pro moves to 32GB and adds GPU and NPU processing, with a claimed 205 TOPS. These are manufacturer figures, not independent benchmarks, and the available launch material does not provide a complete MasterAgent specification sheet.

The local-processing pitch could reduce dependence on an internet connection and limit how often recordings or commands travel to a remote service. Combining smart-home control, network storage and AI in one box is more ambitious than adding another cloud-connected voice assistant.

NAS storage comes along for the ride

Each hub includes a two-bay SATA NAS and a separate space intended for video storage. The same hardware could manage Matter devices, keep files on the local network and store security-camera footage without requiring a separate NAS and smart-home controller.

Android Authority reports expected pricing of about US$900 for the standard HomeAgent and about US$3,000 for the Pro, before hard drives. That is roughly €770 and €2,560, or £660 and £2,200, using simple approximate conversions. Final regional pricing, VAT and availability were not confirmed.

UGREEN’s official site currently presents its wider NAS, charger, power-bank, cable and hub range, but does not yet provide a complete public retail listing for these IFA devices. Buyers should wait for final product pages and details on updates, remote access, data retention and which AI features require an online service.

Our opinion

UGREEN’s HomeAgent idea is one of the more convincing IFA 2026 smart-home pitches because it tackles a real irritation: the cloud should not need to sit in the middle of every light switch, camera alert and voice command. Combining local AI with NAS storage is a sensible direction.

The pricing makes this an enthusiast proposition, though. If UGREEN delivers polished local processing, long-term software support and transparent privacy controls, the HA100 could become a useful home server. Until we see final specifications and independent testing, the Pro’s US$3,000 ambition looks much harder to justify.
