Even Realities launches Brown 2 G2 smart glasses
Even Realities has launched Brown 2, a tortoiseshell and lighter version of its G2 smart glasses, with matching accessories.
Even Realities has launched Brown 2, a tortoiseshell-style version of its G2 smart glasses, alongside new accessories for the camera-free wearable. The company presents Brown 2 as a signature edition rather than a new hardware generation: the display, translation tools, notifications and teleprompter features remain part of the same G2 platform.1
The new frames are available in rounded and more square-shaped styles. Even Realities says each pair is individually shaped, pressed, tumbled and polished for 20 hours, creating small variations in the finish. The company also describes Brown 2 as the lightest Even G2 yet, with a design aimed at all-day wear.1
The official Brown 2 campaign shows the warm brown frames on models and positions the colourway as a more fashion-led alternative to the standard G2. It is a useful distinction: this is primarily a styling and materials update, not a replacement for the existing smart-glasses platform.
Even Realities has also introduced the Even G2 Clip (Polarized), which adds sunglasses functionality, and the Even G2 Chain for carrying the glasses around the neck. The official campaign presents the accessories as part of the wider Brown 2 look, while the reported launch pricing puts the Brown 2 glasses at $649, the clip at $149 and the chain at $79.12
The launch gives Even Realities a way to broaden the G2’s appeal without changing its core proposition. The glasses remain camera-free and focus on an in-view display for translations, notifications and teleprompting. That makes Brown 2 a cosmetic and comfort refresh for people who already like the G2 concept, rather than a reason to expect a fundamentally different product.
Our opinion
Brown 2 is a sensible extension of the G2 range because it makes the hardware feel more like eyewear and less like a gadget in a single, conventional colour. The tortoiseshell finish is the story here, and the official campaign communicates that more clearly than a specification-heavy launch would. The caveat is price: at $649, buyers are still paying for a premium design experiment, so the lighter frame and new styling need to matter in person. The accessories are welcome, but they push the complete look further into luxury territory.
Even Realities is taking a measured route with Brown 2. Existing G2 features stay intact, while the new finish, lighter weight and matching accessories give the platform a fresh reason to be noticed. The result is a product refresh, not a new generation — and that is exactly why the launch makes sense.
