Samsung Android XR smart glasses leak reveals reported specs

A new report claims Samsung’s Android XR glasses could pair a camera, Gemini AI and all-day charging-case endurance with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker frames.

Samsung intelligent eyewear created with Gentle Monster and Google

Samsung’s first Android XR smart glasses have appeared in a new leak, with reported hardware details and a wider look at the frames being developed with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. Samsung and Google have confirmed the intelligent-eyewear project, but the leaked specifications are not official and should be treated as provisional.12

The report shows six Gentle Monster frame families in multiple colours, alongside three Warby Parker designs. Samsung’s own announcement described the product as a phone companion built around voice interaction, navigation, translations, notifications and camera features, with the first collections scheduled for select markets in autumn 2026.1

According to GSMArena’s report, the glasses are expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The leak also claims a 12-megapixel camera capable of 3K video at 30 frames per second, four microphones and two open-ear speakers. None of those figures has been confirmed by Samsung.2

The same report claims the glasses could run for up to nine hours on their internal battery, with a charging case extending that figure to as much as 72 hours. It also says the glasses may weigh about 41g, carry an IPX4 rating and work with both Android phones and iPhones, although some features could remain exclusive to Galaxy devices.2

Samsung’s official announcement confirms the partnership with Google, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, but stops short of publishing a complete specification sheet or final pricing. It also warns that availability, features and product information may change before release.1

Our opinion

The leak is useful because it fills in the gaps around a product Samsung has already announced, particularly the apparent choice of a camera-led, audio-first design rather than a display-heavy headset. The important caveat is that the most interesting numbers remain unverified. Until Samsung publishes final specifications and regional availability, these glasses are a credible preview, not a finished shopping recommendation.
