ZuckOff spots camera glasses nearby over Bluetooth
A free app called ZuckOff listens for the Bluetooth signatures broadcast by camera glasses, including Ray-Ban Meta and Snap Spectacles, and warns you when a pair is in the room.

ZuckOff is a free app that turns a phone's Bluetooth radio into a camera-glasses detector. Its developers note that the hardware announces itself over Bluetooth whenever it powers on, pairs or leaves its case, and the app listens for those broadcasts and flags them.
The detection leans on manufacturer identifiers rather than guesswork. ZuckOff lists the signals it watches: 0x0D53 for Luxottica eyewear such as Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta, 0x058E for Meta Platforms Technologies wearables, 0x03C2 for Snap Spectacles, and 0xFD5F for a service identifier registered to Oculus VR. Familiar product names can be matched too, although the app rates those hits as lower confidence.
What it will not do
The app is refreshingly blunt about its limits. Most pairs keep advertising while they are worn, so they can usually be heard, but a few standalone models stay silent. Quiet is not proof that nobody is recording, and a detection is not proof that anyone is; signal strength gives a rough distance and no direction at all.
Everything happens on the phone itself. There is no account, nothing leaves the handset, and every Bluetooth device it hears is logged whether or not it is a pair of glasses. Each flag arrives with the evidence behind it so the user can disagree, owners can mark their own pair so it stops raising alerts, and the whole log can be exported as a CSV. Background alerts, an iPhone Home Screen widget and a Lock Screen Live Activity are included.
ZuckOff is an independent project and states that it is not affiliated with Meta, Luxottica, Ray-Ban, Oakley or Snap. Its developers are asking owners of camera glasses the app does not yet recognise to send a short scan capture, and say they will take hardware on loan and send it back once it has been recorded.
Our opinion
ZuckOff is a neatly honest piece of counter-surveillance engineering: it tells you what it heard, why it thinks the signal matters, and where it might be wrong. That last part counts for more than the alerts do. Bluetooth makes camera glasses slightly louder than their owners would like, but it is a partial signal and not a guarantee, which is precisely the caveat most privacy tools bury.
