Windows 11 PCs can claim 25 Xbox games this November
Eligible Windows 11 PCs bought from participating US retailers can claim 25 Xbox games worth more than $500 from November 2.
Microsoft is giving eligible Windows 11 PC buyers a collection of 25 Xbox games at no extra cost this November, with the bundle valued at more than $500. The offer is part of Xbox's 25th-anniversary celebration and applies to qualifying Windows PCs purchased from participating US retailers. 1
The promotion starts on November 2, 2026, and runs for eligible purchases made through December 31. Microsoft says buyers will be able to claim the collection in the Microsoft Store app, while the offer's small print says the digital bundle must be claimed by November 30. The games are tied to the buyer's Microsoft account rather than supplied on discs. 1
Microsoft has not published the complete 25-game list in the announcement. It has confirmed several of the included PC titles, however: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Minecraft Dungeons and Gears of War: Reloaded. Some titles also support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing them to be played on Xbox Series X|S consoles as well as compatible Windows PCs. 1
There are a couple of important catches. The deal is limited to select Windows 11 devices bought from participating retailers in the United States, and Microsoft warns that some eligible PCs will not be able to run every game in the collection. Buyers have until December 2, 2027, to activate the bundle on their Microsoft account. The company says full compatibility details, system requirements, ratings and offer terms will appear at aka.ms/XBOXbundle from November 2. 1
Windows Central also reports the same $500-plus anniversary promotion, including the November start date and the confirmed games. 2 That makes this a substantial launch incentive for PC shoppers, but not a general free-games giveaway: the hardware, retailer and regional restrictions matter as much as the headline number.
Our opinion
Twenty-five games is a striking headline, but the restrictions are doing a lot of work behind it. The offer looks most useful for someone already planning to buy a qualifying US Windows 11 PC, particularly if its hardware can handle the whole collection. Until Microsoft publishes the full list and compatibility checker, buyers should treat the promotion as a bonus attached to selected machines rather than value they can assume comes with every new Windows PC.
