Rokid launches AIUI Studio to make AI-glasses agents easier to build

Rokid is lowering the drawbridge around AI-agent development. The smart-glasses company has launched AIUI Studio, a browser-based platform that lets people describe an agent in natural language, preview the experience virtually and prepare it for submission to the Rokid Agent Store — without owning the glasses. That could make wearable AI less of a walled garden and more of a playground.

The announcement arrived ahead of Rokid’s IFA 2026 appearance in Berlin. It is a developer-focused move rather than a new pair of glasses, but clever hardware is only as useful as the software people can build for it.

Users describe what they want to build in natural language, while the platform helps generate the project, preview the experience virtually and prepare it for submission to the Rokid Agent Store.

AIUI Studio is the right kind of bet for Rokid. The glasses are the flashy bit, but developers and useful agents give people a reason to keep wearing them. Removing the hardware barrier for the first stage of creation is smart.

Rokid has shown the doorway, not the whole house. We still need clearer information about pricing, privacy controls, agent review and how closely the virtual preview matches real glasses. For now, this is a promising invitation to experiment, not proof wearable AI has solved its awkward teenage phase.

Recommendation: keep watching Rokid, and let developers have a go before consumers spend money. If the tools are as accessible as promised and the Agent Store avoids becoming an AI junk drawer, Rokid could make its glasses considerably more interesting.
