Rokid launches AIUI Studio to make AI-glasses agents less of a faff
Rokid says its new browser-based AIUI Studio lets people build, preview and submit agents for its AI glasses using natural language, even without owning the hardware.
Rokid has launched AIUI Studio, a browser-based platform intended to make building agents for AI glasses considerably less intimidating. Instead of wrestling with a development environment, users can describe what they want in natural language and let the platform help turn that idea into an agent.
According to the announcement, AIUI Studio generates the project, previews the experience virtually and prepares the finished agent for submission to the Rokid Agent Store. That last bit matters: you can apparently work on an idea without already owning the glasses, rather than buying hardware before discovering your grand plan was a glorified voice-controlled timer.
Rokid says its wider developer ecosystem now has around 35,000 registered developers and more than 500 agents available through the Agent Store. The company is also showcasing Rokid Glasses and Rokid Ai Glasses Style, alongside AI features and other ecosystem developments, at IFA 2026 in Berlin from Sept. 4-8.
Our opinion
AIUI Studio is a sensible attempt to move agent creation from specialist tooling into something closer to writing a brief. Whether the resulting agents are genuinely useful will depend on how well the natural-language generation handles edge cases, but lowering the cost of experimentation is exactly how platforms get interesting. The smart-glasses market does not need another lonely gadget; it needs reasons to use one.
