HP is bringing the EliteBook 6 G2i 14 to buyers worldwide, with configurations built around Intel’s new Panther Lake processors. The business laptop is available with up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory, up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage and an optional 800-nit IPS panel, according to Notebookcheck. 1

The range starts at £1,428 in the UK for a Core Ultra 5 322 configuration with 16GB of memory, a 512GB SSD and a 1,200p 60Hz IPS display. A higher-end UK configuration with a Core Ultra 7 366H, 24GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and a 2.5K panel is listed at £2,351. Eurozone pricing starts at €2,399, while the US version begins at $2,842 with Windows 11 Pro, or $2,504 with FreeDOS. 1

HP’s own product listing describes the EliteBook 6 G2i 14 as a configurable Copilot+ PC with a 14-inch 16:10 display, Intel Core Ultra processors, a 56Wh battery and HP Wolf Security features. The US listing currently shows a base configuration with 16GB of memory, a 256GB NVMe SSD and a WUXGA touchscreen. 2

The specification ceiling varies by market. US buyers can configure the machine with up to 64GB of RAM, 2TB of storage and an 800-nit display, while optional extras include a fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and a SmartCard reader. HP also offers the EliteBook 6 G2q with Qualcomm silicon as an alternative in the same broader business-laptop family. 1

What this means

The EliteBook 6 G2i 14 is aimed squarely at business users who need a configurable Windows laptop rather than a fixed retail specification. Its 14-inch size, security features and memory ceiling make it more flexible than many thin-and-light models, but the starting prices are firmly in enterprise territory. Buyers will need to compare the final configuration carefully: display resolution, memory, storage and operating-system choices change substantially between regions. 1 2

Our opinion

HP’s most interesting decision is offering so much headroom in a relatively compact business machine. The 64GB memory option and 2TB Gen 5 storage give the EliteBook 6 G2i 14 a useful longevity advantage, while the 800-nit panel could matter for bright offices and travel. The drawback is that the headline specification is not the base model: buyers must spend considerably more to reach the configuration that makes this laptop stand out. That makes it a practical enterprise option, but not an obvious value pick for ordinary home users.
