Apple has opened the third public beta of iOS 27.2, alongside matching public betas for iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2 and watchOS 27.2. The releases arrive a few hours after the developer builds.1

What is in the beta

The iOS 27.2 beta includes the redesigned Health app Apple introduced with the iPhone 18 Pro generation. Its new Insights and Longevity tabs are intended to surface more context around health and fitness data, while Health Age compares selected metrics with a user’s actual age.1

Apple is also expanding Siri AI’s language support in the Apple TV app. The update adds French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, according to the beta coverage, while Apple’s developer release page confirms the build as iOS 27.2 beta 3 (24B5099f).12

The wider iOS 27 platform already includes Apple’s redesigned software experience and new Apple Intelligence features, although the company notes that availability varies by device, language and region.3

How to try it

Testers enrolled through Apple’s beta programme can install the update from Software Update after signing in through Apple’s beta testing website. As with any pre-release software, it is best installed on a secondary device or after making a current backup.1

Our opinion

This beta looks more like a refinement pass than a dramatic new chapter for iOS. That is not a criticism: improving the Health app and widening Siri AI’s language support are the sort of changes people notice over time, rather than features designed solely for a launch-day demo. The important question is whether Apple can make those additions dependable enough to earn regular use before iOS 27.2 reaches its wider release.
