Overview

iHeartGeek ("we", "us") operates the websites iheartgeek.com, gaming.iheartgeek.com, anime.iheartgeek.com and tech.iheartgeek.com. This policy describes how we handle personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

Data we process

Server log files — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent. Retained for up to 14 days for security and abuse prevention.
Analytics — aggregated, anonymised page views and referrer data via our own beacon. No third-party analytics SDKs.
Consent — your consent state (analytics on/off) is stored in a first-party cookie for up to 12 months.
Newsletter — email address only, if you subscribe. Opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link.
Contact emails — your email address and message content when you contact us.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to remember your analytics consent choice. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Sponsor skins do not set cookies or track you across sites. See our Impressum for provider details.

Advertising and sponsorship

Sponsor campaigns are direct-sold, not programmatic. We do not share your data with advertisers. Sponsor skins change the site appearance but do not track you. Impression and click counters are aggregated and do not store personal identifiers beyond the server log retention period.

Data retention

Server logs are deleted after 14 days. Contact emails are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Newsletter subscriptions are deleted within 30 days of unsubscribe.

Children

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
