TOPC TXA2 workstation packs 192GB RAM for $6,799
TOPC’s TXA2 workstation pairs AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 with 192GB of memory and four NVMe slots, but costs almost $6,800.
TOPC is selling its TXA2 as a compact workstation built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, with 192GB of onboard LPDDR5X memory and four M.2 NVMe slots. The vendor’s product page lists the current 4TB configuration at $6,799, while the machine is advertised as in stock with shipping in one to two business days.1
The copper-coloured system is designed for people who need unusually high memory capacity in a small desktop. TOPC lists 16 processor cores and 32 threads, Radeon 8065S integrated graphics, 10GbE and 2.5GbE networking, plus HDMI, DisplayPort and USB4 connectivity. The memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded, so the large capacity is also a long-term commitment to the configuration chosen at purchase.1
Storage is more flexible. The TXA2 has four M.2 2280 connectors, although TOPC’s specification table gives different PCIe configurations for the slots. The product page also lists Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, alongside a compact chassis intended to work horizontally or vertically.1
TechRadar reported the same workstation at a starting price of $6,499 for a 2TB version and highlighted the system’s four-display support at resolutions up to 8K. TOPC’s live product page should take precedence for price and availability because configurations, discounts and shipping terms can change.12
Our opinion
The TXA2 is interesting because it treats memory as the headline feature rather than an afterthought. That makes sense for local AI workloads, but $6,799 is serious workstation money from a relatively unfamiliar brand, and the one-year warranty leaves little room for uncertainty. Four SSD slots and 192GB of RAM are compelling on paper; buyers should still confirm noise, support and import costs before treating this as a safer alternative to an established workstation.
