Huawei Pura 90 Plus confirmed for 28 October China launch
Huawei has confirmed a 28 October China launch for the Pura 90 Plus, with Vmall showing four colours and storage options up to 1TB.
Huawei has confirmed that the Pura 90 Plus will go on sale in China on 28 October, while its official Vmall product page has revealed the phone’s design, colours and storage options. Pre-orders are already open, although Huawei has not yet published the full specification sheet for the handset.
The Pura 90 Plus uses curved side rails and keeps the triangular rear-camera module seen across the wider Pura 90 family. The official product imagery shows a Sunset Purple finish with a gradient that shifts from a warm gold tone to violet across the rear panel. Huawei is also offering the phone in Obsidian Black, Snowy White and Dawn Gold.
Vmall lists three memory and storage configurations: 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of internal storage. The product page identifies the 12GB-plus-512GB Sunset Purple model, while the other colour and capacity combinations are presented as available versions of the same product line. The page also carries Huawei’s normal qualification that product images, colours and specifications may differ from final retail units.
The launch date and design details come from Huawei’s own online store listing, while the wider announcement was reported by GSMArena. A rumour cited by that report claims the Pura 90 Plus could use a 1-inch-type 50MP main camera with a variable aperture and a 6.8-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution. Huawei has not confirmed those details, so they should not be treated as part of the phone’s official specification.
For UK and European readers, the immediate limitation is availability. The confirmed sale date applies to China, and Huawei has not announced an international launch in the material currently available. That means the Pura 90 Plus is a newly confirmed China launch rather than a phone with a confirmed UK release date or price.
Our opinion
The useful part of this announcement is what Huawei has confirmed, not what the rumour mill is promising. A choice of up to 1TB storage gives the Pura 90 Plus a clear premium positioning, while the curved frame and triangular camera island distinguish it from the flatter Pura 90 models. The missing specifications and China-only sale information leave too many important questions unanswered for a verdict on the phone itself. Until Huawei publishes the complete sheet and confirms where else it will be sold, the Pura 90 Plus is best understood as an intriguing China launch with a strong visual identity, not yet a global recommendation.
